Kolad is rightly called the adventure capital of Maharashtra. The biggest attraction in Kolad is the ‘Kundalika River Rafting’ or ‘White Water Rafting in Kolad’. Rafting activity here is 12 km long, conducted between two dams. It starts from the lower side of Bhira Dam and ends at Dolwahal Dam. River Rafting in Kolad is highly safe since there is no unfamiliar changes in the levels of water in this river. Monsoon is the ideal season for visit as rafting activities are at its peak due to the rains, plus no sun burns!

Our campsite, Camp River Rush is located right at the banks for River Kundalika. If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Kolad, it’s this campsite. Tents are pitched amidst greenery, next to the Kundalika river. The campsite has constructed western washrooms, and has all basic amenities of a camp. Our budget friendly camping package includes tent stay, river rafting experience, evening snacks, dinner and morning breakfast.

Here's the itinerary:

  • 4pm - Check in, freshen up & explore
  • 4:30pm - 6.30pm - Enjoy the riverside view, play volleyball, badminton etc.
  • 5:30pm - Evening snacks
  • 7pm - 8:30pm - Enjoy music or just chill with your friends
  • 9:30pm - Buffet dinner
  • 12am - 7am - Silent hours at the campsite
  • 7am - 8am - Breakfast
  • 8am or 11am - Proceed for river rafting. You can either book the transport at the campsite or drive in your own vehicle
  • 1pm - Return to camp from rafting
  • 1:30pm - Lunch can be ordered at the campsite (for an additional cost)
  • 2:30pm - Check out
  • Check In / Check Out

    Getting there

  • The nearest railway station is Kolad. Daily passenger trains from Dadar Terminus and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus depart for Kolad. From Kolad station you get private/shared 3 wheelers to the campsite.
  • For private vehicles we will be sharing the google map location for navigation.

    On which dates is your campsite open?

    Our campsite is open throughout the year. We do not operate on days with rough weather.

    The campsite is completely safe for women & children. The campsite staff is present at the campsite at all times to assist you.

    The mobile network is good for calling. Data network is average.

    Are there wild animals nearby?

    There are no wild animals around.

    Are unmarried couples allowed?

    Camping is meant for all to experience hence we do not have any such restrictions.

    Are the washrooms clean?

    As camping is an outdoor activity, the washrooms are cleaned & maintained regularly.

    Who are the staff at the campsite?

    The staff at the campsite are locals who manage & maintain the campsite. They will be there throughout your stay to assist you. We believe camping is best experienced when you get to know the locals & their culture.

    Is transport included?

    No, transport is not included.

    What meals are inclusive in the package?

    Your budget camping package includes evening snacks, dinner and breakfast the next morning.

    Are there restaurants nearby to have meals?

    Yes, there are many restaurants nearby. You can also place meal orders at our campsite.

    How to reach the rafting start point?

    You can either take your own vehicle or we can arrange a shared transport for you guys at an extra cost.
