  • Don’t forget to stop some 10 km before pangong lake while coming from Leh. You will witness rare endemic species ‘Marmot‘. Lives in pot holes, but in daytime they usually come out of their potholes.

Getting there

There are three ways to reach Ladakh- 1) you can take flight from Delhi to Leh from major airlines such as Indian Airlines or Jet Airways. 2) You can take road journeys either from Manali or Srinagar. It takes 2 day journey (474 kilometers) from Manali to Leh via Keylong with a night stopover in Sarchu. On the other hand, Srinagar to Leh will take 2 days (434 kilometers) with a night halt at Kargil. All the roads remain open from May to October.

Anybody travelling 10,000 above sea level will find difficulty in breathing or is likely to fall prey to altitude sickness. It happens due to low level of atmospheric oxygen.

Winter tourism in Ladakh have become famous in past few years due to Chadar Trek and Ice-Hockey. One should bring good warm clothing for the trip considering that the temperature could drop till -20 to -25 in the city itself.

Some common symptoms of high altitude sickness include giddiness, loss of appetite, lack of sleep and difficulty in breathing. The best way to get acclimatize in Ladakh is a natural rest for at least 48 hours.

Transport is not included in the package. But can be arranged at extra cost.

The campsite is completely safe for women & children. The campsite staff is present at the campsite at all times to assist you.

The mobile network is good for calling. Data network is average.

There are no wild animals around.

Camping is meant for all to experience hence we do not have any such restrictions.

As camping is an outdoor activity, the washrooms are cleaned & maintained regularly.
